HEALTH Chronic Fatigue Virus

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), in the UK sometimes also called ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis), is a disease which inflicts more and more people. The symptoms can be manifold, but always includes lack of energy and fatigue, to the point where some CFS sufferers will only be able to get out of bed for an hour a day. Lack of ability to focus, muscle pains and many other symptoms can also be part of the picture.

Orthodox medicine has no answer as to what is really causing CFS, but some factors have been known. Many patients will, for example, develop CFS after an acute infection with Epstein Barr Virus, a type of Herpes virus. In holistic medicine, it has been found that CFS patients are usually heavily burdened with heavy metals and other toxins, and also with parasites or other pathogens.

Some new research suggests that another virus is also implicated in CFS: It is a little known virus called XMRV. While only 4% of the general population have this virus, so do two thirds of CFS sufferers.

HEALTH Luc Montagnier on the Importance of Immunity to Prevent HIV Infection

Luc Montagnier is the French scientist who received a Nobel Prize for discovering the HIV virus. In a recent interview, he makes a few surprising statements regarding the importance of immunity to prevent infection with HIV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQoNW7lOnT4.

HIV is a virus that is very difficult to transmit. One of the riddles has been how so many in Africa could be infected with it, when it is so hard to transmit. It has been shown that other infections will increase the likeliness of an HIV infection, and malaria is rampant in most parts of sub Saharan Africa! As well as many other infectious diseases. Also insufficient nutrition can contribute to low immunity, increasing the probability of an HIV infection.
